Initially you will have a consultation with the practitioner which should last about 15-30 minutes. Here you’ll discuss what treatment and colours you would like. A patch test will be done and this needs to be at least 48 hours prior to the actual treatment. The consultation will cost £50 and will be taken off the price of the treatment.
The practitioner identifies the micro-pigmentation shades that work with your hair, skin and eye colour. She will also analyze your facial shape and features to determine the most complimentary look for your individual requirements.
Permanent cosmetic make-up is the art and science of implanting colour into your skin. It is putting the right colour in the right place so you can look better naturally. Specialized instruments allow the practitioner to place colour into the layer of skin known as the dermis. Because the outermost layer of skin, the epidermis, is always shedding and renewing itself, you are looking at the colour through a thin veil of skin.
When your procedure is completed, the colour will appear darker than the final result. This is because the pigment is on top as well as beneath the skin. The colour in the top layer will flake off during the healing process. You may have some swelling directly after the treatment.
